Usually, yes. Two disk network attached storage systems (NAS) store their data across two separate hard drives. Consequently, when one of those hard drives fails, it does not automatically mean that all of your data was lost. Do not try to rebuild the system; contact us to get a quote for restoring your data over the phone or utilising our online quotation form. If at all feasible, please pull out the disks from the NAS unit and mark them with the number representing which bay they came from, then send all of the disks to us. Alternatively, if removing the disks is impossible, you can just send us the entire NAS unit. We will make an exact copy of each of your disks and then we will retrieve your files from those copies.
We need footage off a gate recorder for a claim. Can you pull it?
Often, yes, provided you stop recording soon after the incident. These types of devices continuously overwrite old footage with new footage on a loop. Each time you run the device the portion of the original file is overwritten slightly more. Turn the device off immediately and remove the disk. Call us for a quote using either the telephone or our on-line quotation form. Next, post the disk(s) to us. Drop-offs can be made Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm at our Leeds intake lab and don't require appointments. Inform us of the approximate date of the incident and which camera recorded it and we'll search to locate those clips.
Is there anywhere in Immingham I can hand it in?
No. A drive cannot be dropped off in Immingham, and there is no counter in Hull either. Hull is just on the other side of the estuary, however this route involves paying a toll to use the toll bridge. Although further away than Hull, Leeds does not cost you anything to get to via the A180 and the motorway network west.
