Driffield holds around 13,000 people and a Thursday market in the town centre, reckoned the second busiest in the East Riding after Beverley's. Round it are arable farms, grain merchants, agricultural engineers and vet practices, and the records that keep them legal usually live on one tower in a converted outbuilding with a USB stick beside it. Which villages around Driffield do you cover?

We never write to the disk you send. It is imaged read-only, the work is done on that copy, and your original goes home as it arrived. The price is fixed in writing before anything begins. When it is over you receive an itemised record of what was read and what was not — the paper an inspector or an accountant will ask to see.
The NAS began a rebuild and has stopped dead. Switch it off?
Yes. A rebuild reads every sector on the disks still standing, which is the exact load that finishes off a worn one, so a stalled rebuild often leaves you worse off than the fault you began with. Cut the power, label the disks in bay order, take them out and post the bare drives. Leeds has no use for the enclosure.
How do I pack a drive so it survives the post?
Stop it moving. An anti-static bag if one is to hand, then padding hard against all six faces, or the box it came in if that survived. Send it tracked, insure it for the full value, and tuck a printed shipping form in beside it. The posting page sets out the rest, and the trip back is on us.
