Client Communication Regarding Samsung Hard Disk Problems

Samsung HM500JI 500 GB Spinpoint 2.5″ Internal Hard Drive
I have a Dell Studio 1555 with a Samsung 2.5” SATA internal hard drive installed inside it. A few days ago, I left my notebook “on” overnight because I was running something on it which I cannot wait to finish. So I slept on it and when I woke up in the morning, I found that my notebook is already “off”. Initially, I thought that it just ran out of battery power but when I turned it on, it just froze on the Dell logo and wouldn’t load Windows. After that, I thought the processor or the motherboard is the problem. After thorough checking, I found that the hard drive is causing the problem. I hear a noise that I thought was coming from the processor or motherboard but later I realized it was from the hard drive. I got a new SATA hard drive from Seagate and the notebook worked fine but I have tons of data inside the Samsung SATA HDD that I want to recover. I downloaded the Drive Data Recovery software and got an external enclosure to put the hard drive that crashed. When I plugged it on the notebook, it made the same noise as it did when it was installed inside. Furthermore, it cannot be detected on the computer when I plugged it via USB.

Samsung P3 1TB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive
I am having a bit of a problem with my Samsung external hard drive. It was working well before but now I am having a problem accessing it on my laptop. I am sure that I have saved many files and folders in it but when I open it on my laptop I only see two icons, which appear to be invisible. If I turn off the folder options on showing hidden folders, all disappear and the drive appear to contain nothing.
